At the Congress of the Regions of France, the beginning of a new dialogue with the State
Representatives of the new government and regional presidents began a dialogue on Wednesday and Thursday at the Congress of the Regions of France, in Strasbourg. The president of the New Aquitaine region, Alain Rousset (Socialist Party), regrets the abandonment of an important decentralization project, but nevertheless hopes that the new government, with more local elected officials than the previous ones, will allow “coming out of a period of total recentralization”.
