A neighbor from Utiel (Valencia) found the Civil Guard who rescued her in the middle of the DANA which hit the town. The woman, visibly moved, hugged the agent who had asked her.I promised not to give up at this critical moment.
With tears in her eyes, the woman expressed her deep gratitude: “I will be grateful all my life, all my life” – he said, as they both remembered the dramatic moment when the agent had become their only hope. During the rescue, the Civil Guard assured him that he would not separate from her under any circumstances. “I told you I wasn’t going to let you go,” the officer recalled, to which the neighbor added: “You told me, ‘If you leave, I’ll follow you.'”
