The mysteries of Uranus: new data suggests the planet may have oceans full of fish

The planet Uranus and its five largest moons may not be as dead as previously thought. According to recent research, it is possible that huge oceans full of fish hide beneath the surface of these icy worlds.

Oku.Azaccording to information provided by the BBC.

Most of what is known about Uranus comes from NASA’s mission to study the planet almost 40 years ago: the planet was first seen in 1986, when Voyager 2, on a close flyby, sent back stunning images of the Uranus itself and its five main moons.

However, it turned out that Voyager 2’s visit coincided with a strong solar storm. This has led to the distortion of the information obtained and the formation of erroneous ideas about this planetary system.

A new examination of the images reveals that scientists have been wrong about Uranus and its five largest moons for 40 years.

“These results suggest that the Uranus planetary system may be more interesting than previously thought. It may have moons with conditions that could support life and underground oceans full of fish!” – said Dr. William Dunn of University College London.

NASA plans to launch a new mission, the “Uranus” orbital probe, which will reach the planet in 2045. Scientists hope to learn how these distant icy worlds, once considered dead, could be conducive to life.

Please note that Uranus is one of the most distant, coldest and most mysterious planets in the Solar System. Its axis of rotation is located almost in the orbital plane. That is, the planet appears to be overturned and lying on its side, making it the most mysterious planet.
