Ábalos’ accusation is getting closer and closer. The National Court has already received the communication from Congress in which certifies that the former socialist Minister of Transport is a deputy. This document was sent to the president of the said court, José Ramón Navarro Miranda, who will in turn send it to judge Ismael Moreno who is investigating the “Koldo case”. This was confirmed by laSexta this Tuesday after accessing the document in which Fernando Galindo Elola-Olaso, as secretary general of the Congress of Deputies, certifies that Ábalos “is a deputy elected for the Valencia constituency.” The former Minister of Public Works “thus accredits the current status of deputy”.
The request for certification of Ábalos’ status as certified was sent to the Lower House last Thursday, October 10, by investigating judge Ismael Moreno. He did this just after reading a new report from the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, in which it was emphasized that the socialist would have “a relevant role and responsibility in his direct relationship with Koldo, Aldama and the criminal organization energized by the latter”.
A few hours later, and having found himself stuck, Ábalos himself asked testify voluntarilyeven assuring that he could do it without a lawyer: “I will try to defend my innocence as I have tried so far, even if it is logically the case in this situation.” In this sense, he assured that he had “no problem even appearing to tell the truth, without the help of a lawyer”, adding that his “collaboration will be total”.
