The National Court did not take into account Txapote’s years of conviction in France when setting his release from prison at 2031. In the 2014 order to which we had access, by which the date of release from prison of Javier was set for 2031, García Gaztelu states that the liquidation already took into account the 10-year sentence he served in France for criminal association, possession of weapons and other crimes.
The French sentence was served in Spain and that is why the court did not apply the additional provision of 2014 which avoided neglecting sentences served in other EU countries.
