“There were moments when our expectations were confirmed. We won 2 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals in the competition.”
Oku.Az reports that this was said by Emin Iskenderov, the coach of Azerbaijan’s national judo team, made up of teenagers.
The expert evaluated the performance of our athletes in the Gymnasium held in Manama, capital of Bahrain.
He said the outcome could have been better.
“The number of golds could have been 4 or 5. Because among the silver winners there were some successful athletes who lost due to judges’ mistakes and incorrect decisions. But I think this is still the first serious test for them. The competitions will have even more success.
It should be noted that in the competition our athletes won 2 gold medals, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals. By the number of medals, our national team took second place overall, first place among boys and ninth place among girls.
