Filming of the second season of the series “The Monastery” has begun in Moscow, in which neither Anastasia Ivleeva nor Alexander Molochnikov, who fled Russia, have announced their participation. This was reported by journalist Susanna Alperina on her Telegram channel.
“The director and co-writer of the script for the second season is Sergei Popov. Director of photography Sergei Trofimov. Svetlana Ivanova and Diana Enakaeva (star of “Crime and Punishment”) will be back in the second season. The new characters will be played by Igor Vernik, Vlada Lukina, Polina Malikova and others.” – says the publication.
According to the plot, the characters of Mark Edelstein and Philip Yankovsky leave the monastery “to continue exploring themselves and helping people.”

The premiere of the second season on the Kinopoisk service is planned for 2025.
