The number of civilians injured during the Ukrainian shelling of Belgorod and the Belgorod region has risen to 46, seven of them are children and one child is in serious condition, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
On Friday evening, the head of the region reported that the air defense system was operating over Belgorod and the Belgorod region, and several air targets were shot down as they approached the city. He later reported that the shelling was carried out from the Vampire MLRS, five people were killed and 37 were injured.
“We have once again lost civilians as a result of the shelling of the city of Belgorod by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Five civilians were killed… 46 civilians were injured. There are currently 37 people hospitalized, seven of them are children. One child is in serious condition and has undergone surgery. At 8:00 a.m. doctors will report on his current condition.” – said the governor.
He added that preparations are now underway to transfer the two injured adults to Moscow.
“In constant contact with the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, all necessary assistance will be provided.” – Gladkov concluded.
