A total of 108 cases of West Nile fever have been reported in Armenia.
Oku.AzAccording to Armenian media, this was stated by the country’s Minister of Health, Anait Avanesyan.
According to him, the rate of spread of the disease is still not decreasing sufficiently and active prevention work is needed throughout the month.
The minister added that the situation is alarming, because this disease has been detected in many countries, not only in Armenia, but for the first time in many years.
“From the first days, the diagnosis and treatment of fever was carried out correctly. All necessary measures were taken to prevent the increase in cases of the disease,” Avanesyan said.
It should be noted that one patient diagnosed with this disease died in Armenia. Although the deaths of three more citizens were reported, the Ministry of Health did not confirm this.
So far, the number of infections was 92.
