The Lebanese government is concerned about the increasing number of displaced people as a result of continued Israeli attacks on civilian areas. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Najib Mikati, at a press conference in Beirut.
“The number of refugees from the southern regions could reach half a million,” he said. “The authorities take advantage of every opportunity to offer them accommodation,” TASS reports.
