Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s speeches are increasingly incoherent, which may indicate his cognitive decline. The New York Times reported this on October 6.
“A review of Trump’s rallies, interviews, statements and social media posts show signs of change since he first entered the political scene in 2015. He is often far from the truth, but over time his speeches become “They have become darker, harsher, longer, angrier, less focused, raunchier and increasingly obsessed with the past.” – stated the newspaper.
Trump’s speeches at rallies now last an average of 82 minutes, up from 45 minutes in 2016, according to a NYT computer analysis. Proportionally, it uses 13% more of the words “always” and “never” than eight years ago.
The publication writes that Trump now uses 32% more negative words than positive ones, compared to 21% in 2016. Additionally, the Republican leader now uses profanity 69% more often than when he first ran for office. president. All of these trends can be indicative of clear cognitive changes.
However, Trump himself dismisses any concerns and insists that he successfully passed the cognitive tests.
