The oldest member of the Kennedy family dies

Ethel, the widow of US Senator and Attorney General Robert Kennedy, has died at the age of 97.

Oku.Az reports that his grandson Joe Kennedy III reported this on the “X” account.

The cause of death was complications from a stroke the elderly woman suffered last week.

Ethel Kennedy devoted herself to social activities, in particular she actively defended human rights. According to Kennedy III, Ethel has nine children, 34 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Ethel Kennedy was the oldest member of one of America’s most famous political families. She is the daughter-in-law of former President John F. Kennedy and mother of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has just finished campaigning for Republican candidate Donald Trump.

In 2014, President Barack Obama awarded Ethel Kennedy the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

It should be noted that on October 9, Ethel Kennedy was admitted to the hospital. According to media reports, the elderly woman suffered a stroke while she was sleeping.
