The pacifist-minded actress Ekaterina Starshova, known to the whole country as Button from the series “Daddy’s Daughters”, had to be persuaded to film in Russia. This was stated by the director of most of the seasons of the project, Alexander Zhigalkin.
“She has a degree in biology, but she is a figure skater. She works in an ice show, she skates professionally.” — NGS.ru portal quotes the creator of the series.
Somewhat illogically, Zhigalkin concluded that “that is why she does not work in Russia.”
At the same time, when it was decided to resume filming of “Daddy’s Daughters”, the first thing they did was to call all the former participants of the sitcom. Many agreed to return to their roles, but Starshova decided not to play Button anymore.
“As a result, the creators of the new “Daddy’s Daughters” persuaded the girl to fly away for a few days and play a cameo role. In just a few days, Ekaterina Starshova filmed several scenes and flew back. She later admitted that she did this so that fans would see how Button had changed and stop perceiving her as a little girl from the 2000s TV series.” – says the publication.
It should be noted that on the day the special military operation began, a “black square” appeared on the actress’s social networks, which is almost traditional for many artists. However, as Starshova’s subscribers on the social network noticed, she deleted it during the filming in Russia.
After the completion of the work in Russia, the post with the square was restored.
