Liputan6.com, jakarta – The head of the Presidential Communication Department (PCO) Hassan Nambi explained that the People’s School is the Presidential President of the President Prabavo Subianto aimed at children from Desil-1 or extremely poor. They cannot go to school, although the government was free of additional costs.
“But these children here are really children who do not even have school, they cannot, there are no costs, there are no benefits, the cost of life is also insufficient, even access to clean water, and also no,” Hassan explained to reporters on Wednesday (7/7/2025).
“Thus, Desil-1 is really in the extreme poverty area. Thus, this is free, they are not at school. There are such children, including children on the streets, ”he continued.
For this reason, according to him, the government prepared schools for children who were in the extreme poor category. Later, children will receive the same curriculum as a regular school.
Hassan explained that the people’s school had a concept of a hostel, where children were given a place for life and is three times a day. Moreover, their parents were also trained and assisted to help the economy.
“The building itself, it is isolated, given the food 3 times a day. Not only his children study, but their parents will also intervene by the government. He intends to study, given the help that their economic life can also increase, ”he said.
He said that the People’s School program was an attempt by the government to eliminate extreme poverty in Indonesia by ensuring better access to education. Thus, it is expected that children will receive a good job to break the poverty network.
“Thus, the state was covered by the state, they took care of the state included in public schools so that they could get a good education, so that they would subsequently have more open access to employment and can get out of the abyss of extreme poverty about this,” Hassan said.
