The Elorz River circulates through Pamplonain the neighborhood of Etxabakoitzwith a new face after removal of several weirs and the remains of structures located in its channel and banks.

The budget for the work, framed in the RUNA 2025 projectfinanced by European funds, amounted to 81,180.74 euros.

THE removal of the thresholds of the Elorz River This is part of the actions that are developed within the RUNA 2025 projectwho got 2.7 million euros in the call for help Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO)within the framework of Recovery, transformation and resilience planfinanced by the European Union and the NextGenerationEU Fund.
Recover the environment and minimize the effects of possible flooding
With this action we seek the disposal of anthropogenic waste of the main channel and naturalization of the river course recover his original morphology. Likewise, it will improve longitudinal connectivity of fish fauna along the canal.
