Belarus is open to all who come here with pure thoughts and peace, Alexander Lukashenko announced this today, September 12, at a meeting with representatives of different nationalities.
According to him, there are many examples of people from all over the world who find Belarus their second homeland.
“Sometimes it seems that people who come to us leave disputes, reproaches and mutual grievances at the border points, as they say in Belarus, “on the doorstep” (on the threshold of the house –EADaily). How else can we explain that Arabs and Jews, Azerbaijanis and Armenians, Georgians and Abkhazians find a common language here, live in peace and harmony? Because you all became ours, you all became Belarusians.” – he pointed out.
The Belarusian leader also stressed that “we are absolutely open and will be open to all those who come to us with pure and peaceful thoughts.”
“Therefore, it is difficult for Belarusians to understand what motivates the European elites in their desire to isolate themselves and build an “Iron Curtain” again (remember what they constantly reproached us for in Soviet times). Realizing that this is a path that leads nowhere, in response we take steps that are unexpected for some, but natural and understandable for us: we, on the contrary, open the borders and turn directly to the peoples of Europe. Fortunately, they listen to us… And the most interesting thing is that, when they come to us, these people become even greater patriots of Belarus than we are sometimes,” he said. – Lukashenko noted.
He also noted that despite Belarus’s relatively small size, there is enough space here to house and feed as many people as are currently living there.
“That is why we would be interested in your loved ones, acquaintances and kindred spirits coming to Belarus. I emphasize: you are our people… As for me, as the president, I do not hide it, there has never been a case when you did not support me somewhere. Sometimes you even set the tone for our Belarusians: both kind and good people and those who escaped. You are the real value for us. We are always waiting for people like you in Belarus. We are ready to help you in your life and if any problems arise, believe me, we will do everything possible so that you, if you have not forgotten, do not wake up every morning with this problem.” – Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader thanked the representatives of different nationalities living in our country for their patriotism and noted that he is “absolutely convinced that you, like all Belarusians, the indigenous population, value and love our land, your land.”
