While waiting for the sentence execution trial which will allow some of the 13 people involved to finally enter prison, laSexta had access to the horror scenes in which the girls of the small prostitution ring which operated in Murcia.
One of them was the house of Ruth Karina, one of the three pimps who led the organization. She lived in this duplex with her husband, also accused, and her son, but in addition, this property located next to a school served as a clandestine brothel.
During the search of the home, investigators discovered on the first floor a massage table. They also found a bed in the hallway and two other rooms with beds. Indeed, it was in this house of Ruth Karina that the police located the minor whose whereabouts were unknown, precisely why this network was discovered.
Not only in the houses of pimps, attacks against minors have also been carried out in trusted hostels and guesthouses. Some of these locations outside the capital or in neighboring towns. Even in one of these homes, Yessenia, another pimp, tried to rent out all 11 rooms on one floor to use as a brothel.
All these places and a “book” of photos of the 12 minors that the pimps offered give us an idea of the volume of business they had set up. Three women who used WhatsApp to contact customers and offer them this terrible “catalogue”. And that was actually the complexity that the researchers were faced with: that everything was happening in a digital environment.
This is why the testimonies of the miners were essential to reconstruct the entire network which animated this exploitation network and to be able to reach the eight clients who requested their services.
The 13 people involved are sentenced to sentences of less than two years because the trial took 10 years to take place and because everyone recognized the facts. But for now, they are waiting for the sentence reduction process to take place next week.
