Ultimately, it seems that only the bank tax will be maintained. The PNV reached an agreement with the government to give the green light to the new tax amount, but in exchange for the possibility for the provincial territories to subsidize it at will. On the other hand, the Basques assure that “the energy tax will decrease due to factors beyond” the party’s control.
Concretely, the PNV indicates that taxes on multinational groups and on banks “on regional institutions” will be agreed “with regulatory capacity”.
