Polish President Andrzej Duda’s office denied him a flight to the United States on the night of November 8 to meet with President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. This was announced by the head of the International Policy Office of the President of Poland, Mieszko Pawlak, in an interview with Polsat News.

“There are no plans to fly today (November 8)” – said Pawlak.

He did not specify if the visit was scheduled for another date.

On Friday, November 8, Gazeta Wyborcza reported on Duda’s planned flight to the United States. According to his information, the Polish president was going to see Trump “for a party” he was organizing after the elections. The office informed a group of trusted journalists about this, the material notes. Duda was due to fly from the Okęcie military airfield on the afternoon of November 8, according to the newspaper. The publication later wrote that the plans had been cancelled.

On the same day, Polsat News reported that the Polish president plans to invite Trump to Poland in the first half of next year.

Trump won the presidential election on November 5. The inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025, RBC reminds.
