He People’s Party announced that he would present a non-law proposition (PNL) inside Balearic Parliament condemn the “terrorist attacks“of the October 7 against Israelthe release of kidnapped hostages and the “unreserved” condemnation of the activities of “terrorist groups” Hamas and Hezbollah.
The spokesperson for the PP in Parliament, Sébastien Sagreraspresented this initiative during the press conference this Monday, on the occasion of the first anniversary of these “terrorist attacks» which caused the death of around 1,400 people and in which more than 200 other people were kidnapped.
Likewise, the PP will ask Parliament to recognize Israel’s right to exist as “sovereign and democratic nation» and the “inherent right to defend one’s borders and security”.
If approved, Parliament would also express its rejection of “all forms of anti-Semitism” and urge to guarantee the security of Jewish communities around the world and, in particular, of the Jewish community of the Balearic Islands, made up of both of Jews residing in Majorca and their descendants of converted Majorcan Jews who returned to their roots.
Sagreras said that the Popular Party considers it “appropriate” that on the occasion of the anniversary of October 7 this PNL was presented to condemn these “total attacks.”
THE president of the Balearic Government, Marga Prohenspublished a message on the social network expressing their condemnation of the events that occurred a year ago:
“On the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks carried out by Hamas in Israel, I reiterate my strong condemnation of these events, which involved the indiscriminate killing of 1,400 innocent people, including infants, and the kidnapping of more than 250 people.
“We also call for the immediate release of the remaining kidnapped hostages and we convey all our support and comfort to the families of all the victims.”
On the first anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas in Israel, I reiterated the most recent condemnation of these terrorists, who allegedly committed the indiscriminate murder of 1,400 innocent people, including infants, and who allegedly killed more than 250 people.
