The commission of inquiry into the management of the Andalusian Training and Employment Fund (Faffe) until 2018 was reactivated this week during a brief session in which it was agreed to resume work with the request to the Tribunal of the latest reports from the UCO which They are part of the investigation carried out by Court number 6 of Seville.
This decision was agreed on Tuesday during a brief closed session in which representatives of the PP and Vox were present. This organization has established as a next step the request to the Court for the latest UCO report which indicates an alleged tailor-made recruitment of relatives of people linked to the PSOE. The objective of the PP is to analyze this documentation and evaluate from this moment whether the appearances that marked the last stage of the previous legislature are resumed.
From the PP, it is emphasized that the latest work of the commissionThey focused on irregular uses of the Faffe card while the course of the currently open judicial investigation reflects new findings on hires made at the foundation or other related companies, suggesting that another round of appearances before the commission may be opened during this second part of the legislature.
The Faffe commission of inquiry has been on the parliamentary agenda since 2018 when its creation was approved by the government of Susana Díaz, interrupted by the elections. Later, in 2019, with the government of Juanma Moreno, it was recreated with a long list of comparisons. In 2023, on the eve of the municipal and regional elections, its resumption was again proposed through an initiative of the PP, even if it was stopped again.
The result of the UCO investigations and the judicial information led the PP-A to put this commission back on the table, the only investigation still in force in the autonomous Parliament. The latest demands to create another, linked to SAS contracts, by the opposition have been repeatedly rejected by the PP.
SAS contracts
This rejection of the commission of inquiry into the SAS contracts which are under investigation by the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office after the complaint filed by the PSOE was filed a recurring complaint from all opposition groups. Yesterday, during the parliamentary debate which gave the green light to the processing of the regional budget for 2025, he again played a main role in part of the session.
The first to introduce the problem was Adelante Andalucía, whose spokesperson, José Ignacio García, publicly denounced that The Presidency of Parliament decided to block the question because it was extremely topical on SAS contracts to the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno.
Subsequently, the PSOE-A, through its deputy Alicia Murillo, asked Parliament that the Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, give explanations on the research contracts of emergency which They total more than 240 million euros and were made official between 2021 and 2023.. “If they are so calm, why don’t they accept a commission of inquiry to analyze all the files?”
“It’s a fake scandal. Emergency contracts are absolutely legal and have reports in their favor. All complaints that are filed end up being archived. It is a sign of desperation on the part of the PSOE-A because they have a serious credibility problem, they are nervous and want to assert their merits in the face of the next Federal Congress,” replied the Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds and spokesperson for the Andalusian Government, Carolina España.
