On October 4, the premiere of the feature film “Taghiyev: Oil” took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center, which tells about the life and activities of the great philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.

Oku.Az reports that the director and producer of the project, the president of the Baku Media Center, was present at the presentation ceremony Arzu Aliyeva, Heydar Aliyev Deputies of the Milli Majlis, renowned figures of science and culture, participated in the event.

The script was filmed by the Baku Media Center with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and the Film Agency.

First, the participants visited the corner of the lobby where the clothing and historical objects used during the filming of the film were displayed.

Before the screening of the script, it was reported that the film “Taghiyev: Oil” is the first series of the multi-series film “Taghiyev” dedicated to the life of the millionaire and great philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.

The film also addresses important historical events that took place in Baku and the regions of our country at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Presenting this stage in the history of Azerbaijan and presenting the film of the fourth series, which is a significant contribution to the promotion of our national values, in 2024, when the centenary of the death of the great philanthropist will be celebrated, is a notable event.

The script sheds light on different periods in the life of Taghiyev, who was born into a family of shoemakers in Baku and later became a millionaire and did great things for his people. In this script it will be possible to know the difficult decisions he made, his belief that he will succeed, his stubbornness in his goals, his support for the common people, the historical steps he took to improve the educational level of society, and travel to his time.

Through the film, important topics are addressed such as Taghiyev’s creation of the first special school for the education of girls in the Muslim East, the development of the oil industry in Azerbaijan and the creation of the necessary infrastructure for the city. from Baku. center of attention.

The filming of the film went down in the history of Azerbaijani cinema due to its scale. Around 2,500 creators participated in the script’s massive scenes, which were filmed in 76 different locations. More than 300 decorations have been prepared for historical scenes. A special clothing workshop was created to fully reflect the period in which Taghiyev lived, a large number of dresses, accessories, jewelry samples and special accessories were prepared.

The main producer of the script is Arzu Aliyeva, producer Orman Aliyev, director Zaur Gasimli, screenwriters Ismayil Iman, Asif Isganderli and Zaur Gasimli, director of photography Vladimir Artemyev, artist Sabuhi Atababayev, costume designer Vusal Rahim, composer Etibar Asadli.

A large professional cast, including folk artists Parviz Mammadrzayev (Taghiyev), Gurban Ismayilov, honorary artists Rasim Jafar, Elshan Rustamov and Natavan Hajiyeva, played historical characters in the film.

The companies “Negsol Holding”, “Kapital Bank”, “Bakcell” and “Norm” also supported the creation of the screen work.

The presentation of the film was received with great interest.

In the end, the film’s creative team was invited to the set.

The director of the film, Zaur Gasimli, expressed his gratitude to everyone for the support given to the filming of the film. He talked about the difficulties they encountered during the filming of the script and said that they mobilized all their forces to make this film a work worthy of Taghiyev’s personality.

The director thanked Arzu Aliyeva for her comprehensive support during the making of the film and presented her with a souvenir on behalf of the creative team.
