At COP29, the methodical tool on climate change called “COP29 – Climate, Planet and Us” prepared by the Ecological and Social Center “EkoSfera” was presented. Work is currently underway on the English version of the book, which was prepared as a pilot in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. The methodical materials, which will be published online in all three languages, will be available to teachers, students and all those who want to obtain information in this field.
Oku.Az It informs that in the book, which consists of 29 lessons, each topic is presented through sections consisting of introduction to the topic, basic concepts, practical exercises and interactive games, focusing on a global problem. This approach aims to increase both theoretical and practical knowledge of readers.
The first 28 chapters of the book were prepared by the experts of the Ecological-Social Center “EkoSfera” and provide a valuable resource on climate change by bringing together the knowledge of experts in the field. The last lesson number 29 was completed in the form of recommendations to readers by the President of COP29, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, UN High-Level Champion on Climate Change Nigar Arpadarai and the young COP29 climate champion, Leyla Hasanova.
In particular, it should be noted that the resource “COP29 – Climate, Planet and Us” contains messages for Azerbaijani children and youth from organizations from more than 40 countries participating in COP29. These messages aim to inspire and motivate young people, highlighting their role in the fight against climate change, the importance of educating them and making their voices heard. The author of the idea and chief editor of the book is Firuza Sultanzadeh, director of the SEM “EkoSfera”.
