Brazilian President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva was injured after falling in his bathroom.

The incident is reported to have taken place at the Alvorada Palace, which is the president’s residence. Lula da Silva went to the bathroom and sat on the bench. The bench overturned and the Brazilian leader fell and injured his neck.
The head of state was taken to the hospital and several stitches were placed in his head.
An MRI showed small bleeding, a sign of a concussion. This area contains the occipital bone, which connects to the spine, and the occipital lobe, located at the back of the brain. According to the publication, severe damage to this part of the head can lead to blindness or the inability to recognize objects. Doctors reportedly advised the politician to cancel his trip to Russia and rest for three days, when brain edema is most critical.
At the same time, doctors indicate that the president is fine.
It should be noted that Lula de Silva’s flight to participate in the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan from October 22 to 24 was scheduled for Sunday, October 20. However, due to his injury, he will not be able to travel to Russia and will have to attend the summit online.
In the press service of the Head of State they indicated that the injury does not represent any danger to his health.
