Alexandru Stoianoglo is the president elected by the majority of citizens living in the Republic of Moldova. This statement was made today, November 5, by the leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), Igor Dodon, who supported the candidacy of the former attorney general for the presidential elections.
The politician emphasized that, in fact, Stoianoglo won morally and politically, and Maia Sandu became president of a small number of European diaspora citizens due to falsifications and abuses.
“Socialist candidate Alexander Stoianoglo is the president elected by the majority of citizens living here in the Republic of Moldova. He is the elected president of the country. While Maia Sandu won only in numbers and only with external support. She is the chosen one of the diaspora, rejected by the citizens who lived and suffered directly the 4 years under her leadership. Sandu achieved a violent outcome through abuse, rape, threats, intimidation and dictatorial use of state resources and institutions. This result calls into question the legitimacy of Maia Sandu as president. She will assume this position without being elected by the residents of the Republic of Moldova.” – Dodon emphasized.
He added that in these elections citizens showed that the PDS (the ruling Action and Solidarity Party) no longer has broad support at home, which means that after the 2025 parliamentary elections the power in the country will be different.
“People are tired of the abuses and incompetence of the PDS. Citizens realized that Moldova is not a democratic state and at the same time felt that this shameful political government could be overthrown. And these lessons will be very useful next year, when Moldovans decide the fate of the country in the parliamentary elections, then what we have started now will be achieved: the overthrow of the dictatorial regime.” — the former president appears confident.
He assured that in the coming days the socialists will appeal to the Central Electoral Commission and the Constitutional Court for the numerous violations committed by the authorities during these presidential elections, which were recorded, among other things, by international observers.
“Maia Sanda was saved again by the diaspora, Soros, the embassies, the foreign guests and their shameless manipulations. Out of desperation and fear of losing in this election campaign, he showed his true colors. Sandu managed to ensure that the European course is associated with abuses, anarchy, lies, desperation and irresponsibility. “The authorities falsified the elections and will inevitably pay politically and legally for these falsifications.” —Igor Dodón concluded.
Let us remember that on November 3, the second round of the presidential elections was held in Moldova, in which Maia Sandu, from the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), won with 55.33% of the votes. His opponent, former attorney general Alexandru Stoianoglo, who had the support of the Socialist Party (PSRM), obtained 44.67%. Participation was 54.34%.
In the vote count in the country there was a clear advantage in favor of Stoianoglo. The situation changed when data arrived from the European diaspora. At the same time, Moldovan citizens living in Russia (about half a million people) were specifically deprived of the right to vote. The authorities opened only two polling stations, where only 10,000 compatriots could vote: that is the number of ballots assigned to them by the Central Electoral Commission.
