The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will be represented at the highest level at the COP29 climate conference to be held in Baku from 11 to 22 November.
As the bank informs “Report”, the conference will be attended by the president of the EBRD, Odil Reno-Basso, the first vice president of the bank, Jürgen Rigterink, the vice president of Policy and Partnerships, Mark Bowman, and the general director of Climate Strategy and Harry Boyd-Carpenter Implementation.
“This year’s event will focus on accelerating climate action through climate finance, with a focus on mobilizing the private sector,” the bank said.
Within the framework of COP29, the EBRD, together with other international financial institutions and organizations, is dedicated to combating climate change and decarbonization 11 plans to organize a different themed event.
The bank noted that the EBRD is committed to continuously promoting “green” development, sustainability and innovation.
“The EBRD tries to ensure that at least half of the bank’s business is “green.” Last year, the bank’s “green” financing 6.5 billion has reached the euro,” the bank stressed.
