During his speech at the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Moscow, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented a number of important initiatives to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation within the Commonwealth. Mirziyoyev highly appreciated the results of the Russian presidency of the Commonwealth, during which multilateral cooperation in all areas developed.
He paid special attention to the issues of ensuring the security and sustainable development of the CIS countries, noting the importance of establishing systematic interaction between the intelligence services and relevant departments of the CIS countries, improving methods of dealing with modern challenges and take coordinated action in the field. cybersecurity and program documents.
“The priority is to strengthen joint work in the economic area of cooperation. Since the beginning of the year, Uzbekistan’s trade volume with the CIS countries has increased by 16%. “There are many examples of successful industrial cooperation,” – says the press service.
Mirziyoyev also stressed the need to intensify the activities of the CIS industrial councils and committees. He proposed holding a meeting of the CIS Economic Council and the Innovative Development Forum in the framework of the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom” in Tashkent in the spring of next year.
In addition, the Uzbek leader advocated a long-term partnership in the development of Internet technologies and the big data industry, the accelerated implementation of digital solutions, the creative economy, green energy and nuclear technologies, as well as the challenges climatic. In this regard, he proposed holding regular meetings of experts and analysts from the CIS countries and holding the next conference of the main analytical centers of the Commonwealth in Samarkand, dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence.
“To expand humanitarian exchanges, it was proposed to hold Commonwealth States Culture Days. At the same time, the need to prepare an annual program of joint events in the fields of health, education, art, cinema, tourism and sports was highlighted.” – added the press service.
