The price of local products at the fish market has dropped significantly.
According to sellers, the reason is that there is more demand for foreign fish. According to Ilkin Novruzov, a fish sales specialist, the most popular are sea bass, chupra and salmon:
“I have been engaged in this sale for 20 years, before there was not so much demand for foreign products. Among foreign fish, salmon is the most expensive. Before, this type of fish cost between 30 and 35 manats, but now its price varies The sturgeon used to cost between 40 and 45 manats, but now it costs between 40 and 35 manats.
It should be noted that the foreign varieties of fish that adorn the fish market counters are imported from Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran and Türkiye.
