The price of poultry meat has increased.
According to the inhabitants of the capital, turkey meat that was previously bought for 17 or 18 manats is now offered for 19-20 manats.
Sellers also say prices have gone up.
The situation is almost the same in regional markets. Ismayilli residents say there is a sharp increase in prices compared to last year.
Sellers report that rising prices have affected the number of buyers.
Murvat Hasanli, chairman of the board of directors of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Poultry Meat, Eggs and Exporters of Azerbaijan, said that the increase in prices is due to several reasons. In particular, the lack of mass production of poultry species such as turkeys, geese and ducks is one of the main factors influencing the increase in prices.
Economist Khalid Karimli said the price of meat and meat products increased by 4.4 percent in the last year.
