French Prime Minister Michel Barnier has returned to work after undergoing spinal surgery over the weekend.

According to the 73-year-old prime minister’s personal doctor, he underwent surgery following a spinal cord injury.
Mr Barnye will reportedly hold a government meeting on Thursday.
