The Prime Minister of Russia spoke about the development of relations with Belarus

The Union State “acts as a locomotive for the integration” of Belarus and Russia. This was stated today, October 1, by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Roman Golovchenko, on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF), held in Yerevan.

Mishustin asked for a message from the president of Russia Vladimir Putin “My best wishes” to the head of the Belarusian state Alexander Lukashenko. At the same time, he highlighted that the governments of the two countries are “actively working to implement the instructions and agreements” given by the leaders of Belarus and Russia.

“We are accelerating work in all major areas. “We pay priority attention to strengthening trade and economic cooperation.” – noted Mishustin.

The head of the Russian Government also reported that in seven months of this year the turnover between Belarus and the Russian Federation increased to 2 trillion 355 billion Russian rubles.

“We are actively developing our humanitarian exchanges. By the way, in October we plan an event dedicated to preserving the common history of Russia and Belarus.” – said.

Furthermore, Mishustin noted that the Union State “acts as a locomotive of integration” and the successes of this union can be used in the EAEU.

Let us remember that Belarus and Russia have been building the Union State since 1999. Currently, the parties are implementing 28 union integration programs.
