“We have reached since this program began to restore more than 2000 weapons delivered by families or people, young people, adults (and) elderly people who voluntarily decide to deliver weapons and get resources in return,” Sheinbaum said.
The president added that she is “very symbolic” to remove weapons from streets and houses in the country, especially in memory of the international day of the destruction of firearms.

The Shanbaum defended that the average daily killings in June went down to 65.6 compared to September 86, 2024, the last month of the government of his predecessor Andres Manuel Lopez Dodor (2018-2024), which implies 21 murder per day, according to the Executive Secretariat of the National State Security System (SESNSP).
