The Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with Lorenzo Simonelli, president and CEO of Baker Hughes, on the sidelines of COP29.

It was reported that the meeting reviewed projects carried out within the framework of joint activities with the company, cooperation to increase productivity and efficiency in production through the application of innovative approaches and modern technologies. Sustainable business solutions, actions to reduce emissions and partnerships for decarbonization were addressed.
The parties emphasized the importance of effectively harnessing our country’s rich potential in the field of green energy, organizing climate activities in accordance with international standards and increasing investments in renewable energy. The promotion of the energy transition and the company’s contribution to the green future of our country in this regard, as well as the development prospects of the partnership with SOCAR, were discussed.
