The Madrid prosecutor’s office maintains that the complaint filed by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchezagainst the magistrate who is investigating his wife Begoña Gómez, Juan Carlos Peinadofor a crime of prevarication. He also considers it relevant to admit the extension of this presented by the public prosecutor.
In a letter, the Attorney General of Madrid, Almudena Lastra, addresses the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the TSJM and assures that both the complaint and the extension subsequently filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office are admitted for processing.
In the complaint, the State Attorney General’s Office sued Peinado and his substitute, Judge Carlos Valle, before the High Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) for two resolutions: the decision by which Sánchez was summoned as a witness and the decision by which he was refused to declare in writing.
