The Provincial Council of Toledo has already invested two million euros in one year in Talavera de la Reina

The vice-president of the Provincial Council of Toledo, Joaquín Romera, and the mayor of Talavera de la Reina (Toledo), José Julián Gregorio, appreciated the importance of the investments that the provincial institution is making during this legislature, which total around two million euros.

This was stated at the meeting held in Talavera de la Reina, where Romera spoke about the annual cooperation agreements economic to make investments for the recovery of the historical and artistic heritage of the city of ceramics and, consequently, for the promotion of culture and tourism, in which the provincial institution has committed a total of 500,000 euros.

Concretely, the provincial institution will devote this investment to the recovery of the old cloister of the commons, commonly called House of Canonswhich is in the procurement phase to launch the call for tenders for the works on the two buildings which are part of this property.

For his part, Gregorio stressed the need for the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Toledo in the development of the Interior conservation program of the Basilica of Notre-Dame del Pradoa request that the provincial institution has accepted and to which it will respond by launching help lines for the recovery of this important historical and artistic heritage.

“These are two very important actions for the city and that respond to the objective of the Provincial Government for the recovery of heritage and the promotion and promotion of culture in our municipalities,” said Romera, who recalled its fundamental role “also as a factor” of progress and socio-economic development of our province.

Farcama and Fitur

In this sense, the vice-president of the Provincial Council of Toledo also spoke of the commitment of the provincial institution “to contribute more institutional collaboration with Talavera in Farcama and Fitur, as an ideal showcase to promote the city of ceramics and its region, in an initiative that will allow greater visibility in these fairs both to the city of ceramics and to its entire region.

“All this to contribute to publicizing everything that Talavera de la Reina and the municipalities of the region have to offer in the field of crafts and tourism,” said Romera, who expressed his conviction that these actions will be fundamental to continue betting on the progress and development of this important area of ​​the province of Toledo.

For his part, Gregorio thanked the Provincial Council of Toledo for “the support it once again shows to our city, always with the help of the City Council”, highlighting the special involvement of the provincial government led by Concepción Cedillo, which has already invested a total of around two million euros in Talavera de la Reina during this first year of the legislature.
