The Provincial Council of Zamora presented this Friday the highest budget in its history, with 95 million euros of which “around twenty” will be allocated to real investments, reports Ep.
This was explained by the provincial president, Javier Faúndez, responsible for detailing, by area, the most relevant elements. An economic roadmap that will be approved when the People’s Party has an absolute majority in the institution.
With this tranquility as a backdrop, Faúndez highlighted the investment nature of the budget and stressed that the proposal aims to “provide more and better quality services”, as well as “create opportunities and jobs” on the territory.
“We made the budget thinking that we are mayors or municipal councilors”assured the president of the Provincial Council, who presented himself surrounded by practically his entire government team and who, a few minutes later, went to Ifeza to give explanations to the municipal leaders of each municipal council.
Faúndez reviewed the matches by area and stopped not so much at the most important ones as at the most notable ones. For example, the provincial president announced 110,000 euros to start a project in 2025 aimed at alleviating the financial exclusion suffered by certain municipalities of the province. The idea is to launch a van with security personnel and a bank administrator to arrive at least once a month in localities without these services.
On the other hand, Faúndez announced his intention to subsidize the works in bars of towns without stores so that officials can create space in which to ship products to their neighbors. The Provincial Council will allocate 250,000 euros to this initiative in 2025 and will finance one hundred percent of the work carried out for this purpose.
In addition, the Provincial Council will have 800,000 euros to build a professional fire station in Torowill contribute 50,000 euros to the Civil Guard barracks, will devote 70,000 euros to the construction of a community honey packaging factory in the Sanabria or La Carballeda area and will create a group of Civil Protection volunteers belonging to the institution. To this end, it will devote 151,000 euros in 2025.
Housing rehabilitation
Another of the distinct chapters mentioned by the president of the Provincial Council is that of rehabilitation of rental housing. The institution will allocate 600,000 euros to these subsidies next year and will pay half of the renovations to individuals who commit to renting their house in rural areas for at least the next five years and without making payments exceeding 300 euros per month. .
Finally, Faúndez highlighted the importance of the Provincial Delegation as a dynamic agent of the territory, with 429 workers and 1,787 indirect employees.
