In total, six videos highlight the new tourist campaign of the Provincial Delegation of Segovia which, under the theme “The province of Segovia, a whole world to discover” shows the leisure possibilities that the province offers, with the exhibition of enclaves of the artistic, cultural and natural heritage of the territory compared to others in different countries such as the United States, Canada, Germany or Venezuela .
This was stated during the presentation of this initiative, carried out this morning at La Finca Mencía de Sotosalbos and chaired by the president of the Provincial Institution, Miguel Ángel de Vicente, accompanied by the deputy of Tourism, Javier Figueredo, several provincial deputies and mayors. cities that are the protagonists of this first edition of the campaign. With this project, born with the aim of promoting different municipalities, the Provincial Deputation “reveals the wealth of the province in terms of tourist resources, heritage wealth, but also cultural and artistic”, declares Ical.
Likewise, the initiative seeks to promote tourism for visitors from all over the world in the cities, and also to introduce the province to the Segovias themselves, with “incredible” places that generate wealth in the territory. “I must admit that no matter the kilometers I travel, no matter the corners I know and no matter the secrets that are revealed to me, I never cease to be surprised when I discover the wealth that our territory conceals,” declared the president.
In the first proposal of the campaign, Tourism compares the city of Nava de la Asunción with Berlina town where the murals of the international painter Román Linacero have become an obligatory visit for lovers of urban art. The artist decorated La Nava with more than 20 giant murals on different themes, which confuse fiction and reality.
The section of Camino de Santiago through the provincewith images of the villages that it passes through, such as Pinilla Ambroz, Nava de la Asunción or Villeguillo, “through which thousands of pilgrims from all over the world pass every year”, they emphasized, also highlighting the so-called “Camino de Madrid’, which extends for approximately 100 kilometers along Segovia until reaching the province of Valladolid.
The campaign also looks like ‘El Chorro’ of the Navafría pine forest with the Salto Angel of Venezuela. In the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama, visitors can discover “El Chorro”, “a spectacular waterfall more than 20 meters high, which has its source at more than 2,000 meters, on the peak of Nevero”. Another contrasting video the Hoces of the Duratón Riverwith aerial views, with the Colorado Canyon in Arizona (USA). The one in the province of Segovia “is a 25 kilometer wonder”, created by the Duratón River in the heart of the natural park.
“They have nothing to envy either the forests of El Espinar to those of Canada”they declared, a forest mass where Scots pines dominate, as well as forests of oaks intended for livestock, holm oaks, riparian forests that grow next to rivers and the impressive meadow of Campo Azálvaro. Or the Roman remains of Coca in Rome. With its castle as its emblem, in Cauca, in the Lower Empire, the man who would later become Theodosius I the Great, the last emperor of the East and West, was born there.
Certainly, “the whole world on 6,949 square kilometers”, De Vicente expressed a statement that is “falling short” of this visualization, “which takes us from Berlin to Canada, passing through Rome, Arizona, Venezuela or Galicia, without traveling more than a hundred kilometers that separate Nava d ‘Asunción, El Espinar, Coca, Navafría, Villeguillo and the Hoces del Duratón.
In this sense, the new promotional campaign of the Provincial Deputation encourages people to know these small or enormous places that Segovia offers, for the family, active tourism, as a couple or between friends and in which Figueredo highlighted “the immense tourism potential of our province. “, because it is home to “localities with history, nature and traditions that offer unique experiences.”
Personalized experiences
This campaign, explained the MP, arises from the need for travelers to find destinations where they can live authentic, sustainable and personalized experiences. It is for this reason that “we want Segovia to be considered as a destination that meets these needs, where visitors can discover a unique historical and natural wealth, in a preserved environment”. Figueredo also clarified that the objectives of this new tourist image include attract a more diverse audiencewhich extends from local to international; promote sustainable tourismsince nature tourism is one of the tourism pillars of the territory; and strengthen local identity.
To achieve this, announced the deputy, “we are going to deploy an advertising campaign that will cover both the province of Segovia and its neighboring provinces, and in particular in the Community of Madrid, because it is, in addition to being close, one of the arrival points for tourists in Spain. With these objectives in mind, he assured, “this new image of tourism will make Segovia stand out not only for its heritage, but also as a complete destination that invites you to know its history, its nature and its culture , promoting development and well-being. -be.” of all the inhabitants of the province.
More than 20 people participated in the production of the campaign, including extras, videographers and scriptwriters, and it will be the attraction of the next events in which the Provincial Delegation of Segovia will participate. In fact, it will already be the protagonist of the Prodestur stand at the next AR-PA Fair, which will be held this week, from Thursday to Sunday, at the Valladolid exhibition center.
