The writer David Sanchez Pacheco wins the competition for the second time with La Carn.

Always linked to drama
Born in Torremendo In 1994, Sánchez Pacheco graduated in Catalan philology from the University of Alicante and completed a master’s degree in teacher training for compulsory secondary education and language teaching. Since his childhood, he has been linked to dramatic art, a discipline in which he began within the theater troupe of his hometown.
Later he continued his training in the theater room of the UA with Tomàs Mestre, Ricardo Arqueros, Elena Candela, Iván Jiménez and Joan Miquel Reig, as well as in the companies of the Teatre Raspeig, under the direction of Miguel Segura, La Sobreactuà, directed by Elena Candela. , and Escola Hamlet by Roger C. Dorca and Miquel Murga. He also received theater training from José Gabriel Campos, Ana Sala, Joan Nave, Josep Maria Miró, Sergi Belbel, Pere Riera, Marc Martín and Sílvia Navarro.
During his literary career he received recognitions as the VI Concurs de Textos Teatrals en VI-U, d’Arrel’Art (Stage Culture) and was a finalist for the XLVIII Premi Born (2023), the VII Premi de teatre breu Ciutat de Gavà “Paraules en scène”, the XXIII Prize of the Brown Theater of Valencia “Evarist Garcia” and the XLVII Prize of the Ciutat d’Alcoi Theater “Pep Cortés”.
He currently combines his creative work with investigation and the education and participated in conferences, symposia and international conferences.
