The PSOE leadership wants the mayor of Soria to replace Tudanca in Castilla y León

The federal leadership of the PSOE wants Carlos Martinez Minguezmayor of Soriato be the new leader of the party Castile and León and candidate for president in this community to replace Luis Tudançaaccording to socialist sources.

According to these sources, those responsible for Ferrazordered by the socialist leader, Pedro Sanchezmost likely sees him being able to double Tudanca’s pulse, after forcing him to change the date of his primaries.

Tudanca accelerated the convening of the PSOE primaries of Castilla y León to organize them on November 9 and the possible second round on the 16th of this month. Its objective was to speed up deadlines to avoid the training and preparation of a alternative application.

The head of the PSOE Organization, Santos Cerdancanceled this decision and imposed the celebration of the congress in this community for the days January 25 and 26with enough time to dismantle Tudanca.

Sources from the PSOE leadership explain that the idea is for Martínez to be the alternative candidate in the primaries against Tudanca and assure that they consider this very likely to achieve change in the community.

Martínez is mayor of Soria with an absolute majority and has been in office since 2007.

Renew leadership

Sánchez’s bet is to achieve a significant renewal of leaders in the federal sense and also in the territories. This option gave rise to defensive movements such as that of Tudancawith threats from other regional leaders.

Ferraz understands that the decision regarding Castile and León has stifled any option of mutiny, even if the idea of renewing the primaries in each of the territories is maintained. They believe that a federal leadership which will emerge strengthened from the congress of the last weekend of November will be able to undertake territorial changes more easily.

One of those potentially affected is the party leader in Madrid, Juan Lobatowho does not have the support of Sánchez. In this case, the option favored by Ferraz is that of the mayor of Fuenlabrada, Francisco Javier Ayala Ortegabut the sources consulted explain that this has not yet been decided.

Tudanca denounced the leaks against him in the program Onda Cero by Carlos Alsina, which he attributed to the entourage of the secretary of the Organization.
