The Minister of Science and Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE, Diana Morant, announced this Wednesday that the Valencian socialists will give their affirmative vote to the budgets of the Generalitat for 2025 presented by the president of the Consell, Carlos Mazón.
The Socialist Party “will be up to helping” citizens after the Dana disaster, said Morant in an interview with Cadena SER, who assured that from the first day of the tragedy he told Mazón that he could say it with her, as a minister. and as secretary general of the PSPV-PSOE.
Asked whether they will support regional budgets for 2025, he replied: “There is no doubt in your mind; In addition, we will help Mr. Mazón so that these budgets adequately reflect the needs of our neighbors.
The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Wednesday a first envelope of 10.6 billion euros approved immediately by royal decree.
Without linking these first approved aids, which will be immediately applicable to the possible success of a public accounts project which will not see the light of day until late in 2025, Sánchez wanted to emphasize that in this context it is particularly important to be able to count on new budgets. “Of course we will need new general state budgets. If there was any reason to approve them before this dana, this time that responsibility is multiplied to colossal limits. We are therefore going to propose to the parliamentary groups a new budgetary framework to face the realities of each of the territories, in particular of the communities, in particular Valencia, which are affected by this climate tragedy. I hope we will have the support of the majority of the House to approve budgets today that are even more necessary than yesterday,” he said.
