“At the end of the afternoon, the rainfall will take on a stormy character and will increase considerably from the Pyrenees towards the south of the Landes. This rain will continue until Saturday afternoon.”explains the forecaster.

“These long-lasting and sometimes intense rains (locally 20-30 mm/h) have generated significant accumulations throughout the episode since Friday morning: therefore, between 50 and 70 millimetres are expected in most of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and possibly even locally up to 100 millimetres in the mountains and foothills.”continues Météo-France.

The neighbouring Limousin, Dordogne and Lot, currently in yellow, are likely to move to orange. According to the same source, between 50 and 80 millimetres of rain are expected locally in Limousin.
