Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) took second and third place. Qualifying ended early due to the fall of the British George Russell (Mercedes). British seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (“Mercedes”) failed to qualify for the second segment of the qualifying round.
