Residents near the works of what will be the future AVE La Sagrera station have warned that there is an invasion of rats in the area. These rats are a headache for residents of the Barcelona district, who say they have been invaded.
Rats are found roaming the streets, invading the sidewalksgathered next to the treesor take refuge under a container in the middle of the night and move freely. Invaded by rats: this is how it happens, according to neighbors, in the Sants district of Barcelona.
Barcelona City Hall assures that the Public Health Agency has determined that the the focus is under the Bac de Roda bridgewhere the works of the future AVE La Sagrera station are located, works which have been delayed for some time, as well as on adjacent land where a lot of waste accumulates.
Services have intervened on the sanitation network and surrounding sewers, and periodic actions and inspections will also be carried out. But the truth is that the neighbors endured the presence of these rodentswhich, they say, gets bigger every time. Residents point out that they also see them during the day and that they sometimes sneak into their homes.
