The president of Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE)Eva Alcón, named the rector of UPNA, Ramón Gonzalohead of the Education sector commission.
Gonzalo, who is rector of UPNA since 2019replaces Ángel Pazos, rector of the University of Cantabria, who also held the position of president of this sector since 2019. As president of this sector, Gonzalo will be part of the CRUE board of directors.
He appointment took place during the celebration of CRUE annual meetingwhich took place in Murcia and began with a minute of silence for the victims of the disaster caused by the recent DANA.
THE CRUE-Education sectoral commission It was created in 2019 with the aim of coordinating the lines of work related to the organization of teaching in Spanish universities and is made up of the highest academic representatives with powers in this area. It has three working groups (teaching quality, own degrees and online teaching), which correspond to the areas of university policy on which it studies, debates and prepares proposals and recommendations addressed to the competent authorities and organizations.
