The Government of Castile-La Mancha plans to close this year 2024 with more than 3,000 places created for 0-3 year oldswithin the Schooling Promotion Program to which nearly 30 million euros have been allocated since its launch.
The President of Castile-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Pageinaugurated today the Infant School of the town of Escalona, in the province of Toledo, in the company of the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Amador Pastor and the mayor of the town and delegate of the Council in the province, Álvaro Gutierrez, in addition to the councilor-spokesperson, Esther Padilla.
After his inauguration, Amador Pastor stressed that There are already 111 agreements signed to which will be added three schools which will soon open in the towns of Pozo Cañada, in the province of Albacete; and Agudo and Corral de Calatrava, in the province of Ciudad Real.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports also indicated that the Regional Executive respects its commitment to reach more than 3,717 places.
Likewise, during his intervention before the media, Amador Pastor recalled that the Regional Executive launched the first phase of the strategy of free places for 2 to 3 years in municipalities with less than 2,000 inhabitantsfrom which 91 municipal nursery schools benefited, totaling 717 places.
By provinces, in the case of Albacete, around 450 have already been created places with an investment of more than four million euros; In the case of the province of Ciudad Real now has 456 places with more than four million euros of investment; in the province of Cuenca has 443 places with an investment of 3.7 million euros; in the province of Guadalajara has 282 places to which a budget of three million euros has been allocated and in the case of the province of Toledo has 1,368 places with a budget of nearly 15 million euros.
Escalona nursery school has a total of 61 seats and for its implementation, the García-Page government allocated approximately 920,000 euros. In addition to classrooms, it has a patio, school cafeteria service and auxiliary rooms.
