The results of another polling station were annulled

The complaint of Gulaga Aslanli, a member of the Musavat party, registered as a candidate for deputy for the first electoral district No. 21 of Nasimi-Binagadi in the extraordinary elections to the Milli Majlis held on 1 September, was examined.

Oku.Az reports that the issue was discussed at the meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) held today.

According to the submission of Ilkin Shahbazov, a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and a group of experts, the candidate stated in his application that on voting day there were violations of the rules at all polling stations, in accordance with Article 36.2 of the Electoral Code:

“Therefore, the complainant demanded annulment of the results of all the precincts of that constituency. However, as a result of the investigation conducted with the participation of the candidate, no cases were found hindering the will of the voters in all the precincts. As stated, furthermore, as a result of the investigation, the will of the voters was not revealed in the voting process in precinct No. 30 of that constituency. Polling station No. 21 of Binagadi precinct No. 30 has been annulled since the decision was published.
