Residents of Samad Vurgun Street in Sumgayit are dissatisfied with the speed of cars. They claim that, although the speed limit in their area is set at 60 kilometers per hour, drivers do not respect it. This makes accidents inevitable.
“There are incidents here every day. It is impossible to cross the streets. Children are hit by cars, they can’t go to school. Cars come fast and kill people,” residents expressed their discontent.
Shovgi Ismayilov, traffic safety inspector of the State Traffic Police Department of the city of Sumgayit, stated that in the area in question there are all radars and speed signs: “There are three patrol cars there constantly on duty.
