The Castilian-La Mancha edition of elDiario.es celebrated This October 23, central event of its 10th anniversary with presence in the autonomous community. The event took place at the Teatro de Rojas de Toledo, the historic performing arts coliseum that will celebrate 450 years of history in 2025, after becoming Corral de Comedias in 1575.
The event started at 6 p.m. led by the journalist. Inma SĂĄnchez Morate and is the culmination of a year of celebration for the Editorial Board of elDiario.es Castile-La Mancha which included a meeting with members last February. There are currently more than 93,000 across Spain, including just over 1,900 in Castile-La Mancha.
The director of elDiario.es Ignacio School attended the event with Rosalia Lloret, CEO of elDiario.es and with Juan Checa, director of the newspaper.

We talk about our entrepreneurs, particularly those who dare in a deeply depopulated rural world. In short, of all those people who, even anonymously, also make the history of Castilla-La Mancha.
It is a âsportingâ year, not only because of the Olympic Games, but also because Castilla-La Mancha is the âEuropean Sports Regionâ until 2024 and Toledo will also become the âEuropean Sports Cityâ in 2025. the recognitions will go to Luis Miguel Garcia Marquina for effort, the desire to improve and the competitive spirit. It is about distinguishing all people who love and practice sport regardless of their age or condition. He lives in TarancĂłn (Cuenca) and has represented the region in the last two Olympic events. At Tokyo 2020, he won a bronze medal in the category Hand cyclea discipline in which he continues to compete on behalf of the region.
The second recognition goes to Clara Inés Alcolado for his work in scientific dissemination. She is a chemist and researcher at the University of Castile-La Mancha. She is one of the many young talents who are making a splash in the academic field, both at the University of Alcalå, with a campus in Guadalajara, and at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
The sisters Irene and Rebeca Gomez They received recognition for their rural entrepreneurship. respectively churrera teacher and baker, they live in SigĂŒenza (Guadalajara) where they took over their parents’ business. After emigrating for work and training, they chose to open âTastes of Beforeâ in their city, a workshop based on traditional craft techniques that provides employment in rural areas, in collaboration with the local refugee center.
Recognition was also given to the partners who, with their support, make the editorial and economic freedom of ElDiario.es possible. The native of Toledo will collect it in his name Daniel Romeropartner since 2018.
In addition, we would like to particularly thank the contributions of columnists and collaborators who, with their opinions and reports, allow the media to step out of its comfort zone, by introducing interesting points of view and content. The sixth recognition, of an honorary nature, was awarded to the National Hospital for Paraplegics, whose headquarters is located in Toledo. In 2024, he celebrates his 50th birthday with an impressive career in the clinical and research fields, but above all in the human field, betting on a global, physical and psychological approach to spinal cord injuries.
Theater, music and humor
The afternoon, before and after the start of the event, was enhanced by performances by musicians. Sergi FecĂ©, Buddy GarcĂa and JosĂ© Luis SepĂșlveda and on the stages of the Rojas Theater the Toledo theater company ETR hosted an event whose highlight will be the performance of one of the most emblematic artists of the autonomous community. Albacete Karmento He offered a mini concert with some of his best-known songs, such as the popular âI want and duelâ, with which he aspired to represent Spain at Eurovision.
