The head of the Trade Negotiations Department of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Ekaterina Mayorova, is confident that the World Trade Organization (WTO) continues to play a positive role for the country, even in the current political realities and circumstances. The agency’s representative expressed his opinion on the sidelines of the session “Re-BRICSing: Trade Expectations” organized by the Russian Centre of Expertise on WTO Issues within the framework of the WTO Public Forum.
“The WTO has played a positive role even in the circumstances we find ourselves in now, because it has given us the opportunity to rapidly diversify trade and move quickly from one market to another.” – says Mayorova.
