The Russian “Oreshnik” may appear in another country.

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko expressed delight over Russia’s Oreshnik hypersonic missile attack on the Dnieper River and said he would like to see the weapon on Belarusian territory.

Lukashenko described the missile as “a non-nuclear weapon comparable in power to a nuclear one,” emphasizing its environmental safety due to the absence of radiation contamination. He noted that such weapons could strengthen the defense capabilities of the so-called “Union State” and cool the ambitions of the West, which, in his words, “brought the world to the brink of a third world war.”

The dictator said that places for the deployment of Oreshnik have already been prepared in Belarus and emphasized that now the issue is only a question of deadlines, which must be agreed with Putin. According to Lukashenko, the Russian president promised to “think about it.”

These statements followed the words of Vladimir Putin, who on November 28, at a CSTO meeting in Astana, threatened a possible Oreshnik attack on kyiv. Putin claimed that the missile was capable of destroying deeply protected objects, turning everything in the epicenter of the explosion into “dust.”

However, analysts and international media see these statements as an element of intimidation aimed at putting pressure on the West. Experts point out that Moscow often uses these types of threats to try to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine and destabilize international support.
